OG2
ORBCOMM’s robust, cost-effective OG2 modems are available in two versions: OG2-M with satellite communications and OG2-GPS, which adds an on-board three-axis accelerometer and built-in GPS. With a footprint smaller than a credit card, both modems are 100% backwards compatible. The OG2-M and OG2-GPS both feature a single, wide-range power supply input, which provides flexibility for product designers. The modems’ extremely low power consumption improves longevity in battery-powered applications. In addition, integrators can purchase the OG2-DK Developer’s Kit, which includes a satellite modem, modem evaluation board, universal power supply, antennas, USB to serial adapter, Quick Start Guide CD with documentation, and PC interface software.

OG2-ISAT & GSAT (Coming Soon)
Leveraging our relationships with leaders in the Mobile Satellite Service (MSS) industry, ORBCOMM, Inmarsat and Globalstar are working together to create a standard satellite platform for the global M2M market. ORBCOMM is building a series of interchangeable modems powered by these networks. The modems will have the same footprint, connectors, power input, and programming environment, using a substantial number of common parts thus expanding the capabilities developers can utilize, while sharing scale among the key players in the satellite industry.Manufacturers and partners will be able to drop in the appropriate modem that corresponds with the network of choice based on geography, message size and delivery speed for unrivaled ease of use and flexibility.

STX2
The STX2 is a low-cost, reliable satellite transmitter for use in remote sensing, tracking and monitoring applications in many industrial markets. Using the Globalstar one-way global satellite network, the highly efficient, low-power STX2 can be integrated in a variety of M2M applications that have limited size requirements, including vehicle and asset tracking, remote data reporting and data logger reporting.

STM3
The STM3 is a small, low-cost OEM satellite transmitter about the size of a quarter that provides reliable digital data communication for asset tracking and telemetry across a diverse range of industries. Using the Globalstar one-way global satellite network, the cost-effective STM3 sends packet-switched data on a time or event-driven basis from remote locations where alternative communication systems are unavailable or costly.

OG2-CS
Leveraging the advanced design of the OG2 modem, the OG2-CS includes the intellectual property needed for select OEMs to develop a customized ORBCOMM solution based on a specific industry or high-volume market demand. The chipset features semi-custom ASICs provided as a three-chip solution and designed to work as a set. The OG2-CS reference design includes the schematics, bill of materials, and the OG2-DK Developer’s Kit.

The OG2-DK Developer’s Kit includes the OG2-M, a modem evaluation board, power supply, antenna, and PC interface software for testing the functionality and performance of the OG2-M and OG2-CS.
